Important Remarks

Repeatedly wrapping and unwrapping the cable will lead to the outer braiding gradually undoing itself at the extremities of the wrapped shape. This is only a problem if you travel a lot and only affects the appearance since it just covers the vinyl cable underneath.

Other people have had the bottom mouse skates fail on them, one of mine did come off due to old glue but it was the tiny triangle one, it didn't impact the movement at all. Keep this in mind, you might eventually need to buy replacement mouse skates.

The rubber side where your thumb resides on might become smooth as you use it over the years, there's no real issue but thought I'd mention it.

The newer variant of this mouse, the Hero edition, has objectively better specifications on paper but the predecessor, the Proteus Spectrum, is apparently the most robust of all models in terms of lifespan. They're also extremely cheap on the second-hand market.

Definetely get a brush and clean them good with some isopropyl alcohol, the brush gets in the small areas and the alcohol kills the germs.
